Shri. Narayandada Kaldate Smruti Sanmati Puraskar
Family Legacy
Shri Narayanrao Kaldate was born on 21st July 1924 in a small village – Isthal,
situated on the bank of Manjara river in Beed district of Marathawada region
Maharashtra. Marathawada is well known land of saints. His father, Ramrao (Patil)
was farmer. He was a good learner of urdu and parsi languages. He had a great faith
on ‘warkari sampraday’.
Narayanrao had two younger brothers. Vitthal (Bapusaheb) and Dnyaneshwar
(Malak). These siblings completed their primary and secondary education at
Pandharpur, the capital city of the devotees of Lord Vitthal.
With School education, Narayan had a great impact of Warkari sampraday
and the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi, Sane Guruji, and S.M.Joshi. After education,
Dada decided to do farming. In 1958 he established Baneshwar education society
with the help of people surrounding of Bansarola (the village 3 km away from
Isthal). He had passion of serving the poor’s and downtrodden people.

As true follower of the slogan
‘Baneshwar education Society’ opened the door of education for the rural
poor downtrodden students. These students lived in the hostel and learned. Dada
convinced the people and gathered the grains and money for providing free meals
and living facilities to the rural students. He gave the revival to the burning
generation.
Due to the toiling of Dada a responsible and educated generation is seen
throughout the state. Temptation of family could not bind. He thoughts,
“Whole society is my family”
He says, “Baneshwar education society is my home and the students are his
entire being. And with this passion, his work continued.
Sprouted plant of the institute at Bansarola now has spreaded to three
dimensions such as Hoal, Bhavthana and Morewadi.
Except morewadi, there is hostel facility in three villages. Parents were
convinced that dada would take care of students more than them. Three thousand
students getting education from Baneshwar Education society,
Dada was the founder secretary of Baneshwar education society. He worked
as the Secretary for thirty years.
Warkari
Every year dada walked hundreds of miles distance in the worship of Vitobha, in the month of Ashadh with his friends. He never stopped to attend wari of Mukundraj. He always worn cloths like dhotar, Nehru cap on head and Khadi shirt. His followers were inspires by his simplicity, selflessness, sacrifice, devotion, dignity of labour and true cosmopolitanism. Agriculture was main occupation of his family. Dada urged that every village should have School and every village school should have trained teacher.
Social Work
Narayan dada was very dedicated Social worker. Who was totally committed
to provide education for poor and back ward classes of the society. He used to live
in one of the room of hostel & took his meal with hostel students. He always
washed his cloths dishes with his own hands.
Dada since his younger hood was actively engaged in a various social, cultural
and education activities. For his dedication towards the social backward classes and
efforts for the education of these students, he was awarded as the ‘Dalit Mitra
Award’ by Government of Maharashtra. He was also actively took part in ‘Rashtra
Sevadal’ activities.
He was founder president of ‘Manvalok’. Manavlok is organization working
in the field of rural development, Health, water resources management and Social
Justice.
